5 Capitals is currently engaged in the preparation of the ESIA studies for the development of 2 Wind Power Projects in Azerbaijan with a total capacity of 240 MW. The Wind Projects will contribute to Azerbaijan National Programme in increasing its share in renewable energy.

Initially, 5 Capitals team carried out the E&S site visits and identified the constraints and sensitive receptors within the project areas. The scope for the ESIA studies includes extensive site inspections and field surveys including long-term bat and bird monitoring surveys. The studies will assess all impacts related to wind projects with a focus on the ornithology and collision risk especially on migratory birds. The ESIA studies will be completed according to national and international standards.
