Our engagements in Uganda have been linked to utility scale hydropower ‘Get FIT’ and separate solar energy projects.

We were recommended on both the hydropower projects by a German lender to help the developer close out lender concerns which were linked to the locally prepared environmental & social studies. 5 Capitals involvements came at a crucial stage in both projects and allowed the developers to take an important step towards their financial close with their lenders.

5 Capitals undertook the ESIA for the Soroti PV project, and also provided environmental & social compliance auditing services throughout construction and for the commencement of operations. Such audit reports were provided for submission to the project lenders.
